The New Gluten-Free Fast Food Chain That's a Total Game-Changer!

You know those days you've got in the diary that you just can't wait to happen? Saturday was one them. As someone who's always on the hunt for exceptional gluten-free food, I couldn't resist the invitation to Sonny's taster event. Despite a 4 hour journey to get there (hey, Bristol's a great place to live) I decided on a tactical move of half-starving myself beforehand to make sure I had room for everything on offer. (I'm glad I did.)

(We all know how long we've campaigned for a McDonald's gluten-free bun and as for Burger King, there's nowt on offer but a diet coke.) Tired of worrying about cross-contact and settling for just chips, Sonny decided to create the solution he wished existed.
The Tasting Experience
As soon as I saw the venue, I knew I was in for something special, and so did all the other coeliacs in the room (you'll recognise some of them from the pics).

The toasties were the first revelation – perfectly golden, with that satisfying freshness that gluten-free bread so often fails to deliver. Each bite delivered a real sense of pleasure and multiple flavours. Then came the other triumphs. The quinoa and beef combination was inspired, offering a a unique option that felt both nutritious and indulgent.

And those sweet potato fries? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and seasoned to absolute perfection. I found myself going back for thirds (hey, I'd skipped lunch) because they were so good.
